The inaugural "Derby at the Derby" went off in fine fashion.  There were 15 participants, ranging from four to forty years in age, competing for trophies in competition & design.  Bracket racing determined the fastest car, while a trio of interested spectators offered to judge the design contest.  Fortunately for us, the three judges turned out to be none other than Miguel Galuzzi, Shinya Kimura, & Mitsuhiro Kiyonaga, some of the finest motorcycle designers & builders in the world!

In the end, everyone won, because it was an opportunity for the old to connect to the young, and vice versa, to share their passion for play on the beautiful infield lawn of Santa Anita Park!
